Gen Temizer advised Turk oman Investment A.Ş. (TOI), a joint venture established by OYAK and Oman Investment Authority, in connection with its contemplated strategic investment in Samaş, an OYAK group company holding strategically important sodium bentonite reserves. The transaction is subject to clearance by the Turkish Competition Authority.

The contemplated investment is expected to support Samaş’s capacity increase and modernisation efforts, contributing to the company’s continued growth in line with OYAK’s long-term global expansion and sustainable growth vision.

The transaction was announced during the ceremony held at SAHA EXPO 2026, with the participation of the Minister of National Defence, Yaşar Güler.

Gen Temizer’s M&A team was led by Partner Mine Sekmen with the support of Associate Arda Aykanat and Legal Trainee Orhan Ataman. Competition matters were led by Partner Bulut Girgin, with the support of Senior Associate M. Mustafa Polat.
