Gen Temizer represented ProTürk, in the formation of a strategic JV with SK Plasma for Türkiye’s first fully integrated plasma fractionation and medicinal products manufacturing facility

Gen Temizer represented ProTürk, a subsidiary of the Turkish Red Crescent, in the formation of a strategic joint venture with South Korea’s SK Plasma for the design, construction, and operation of Türkiye’s first fully integrated plasma fractionation and plasma-derived medicinal products (PDMPs) manufacturing facility.

The transaction constitutes a precedent-setting example of a public–private partnership model in Türkiye’s healthcare sector. As one of the earliest applications of this model in the healthcare domain, it is expected to serve as a reference point for future sectoral investments.

The joint venture also includes an extensive technology transfer and training programme, supporting the development of domestic expertise and the expansion of Türkiye’s biotechnology and life-sciences ecosystem.

We are delighted to support ProTürk in this transformative investment, which will enhance national self-sufficiency and position Türkiye as a regional hub for plasma-based therapeutics.

The Gen Temizer team was led by Partners Baran Gen and Mine Sekmen, with the support of Managing Associate Irmak Seymen Varat, Associate Rafet Eren Kazar and Damla Buz.
