Gizem Esen focuses on technology, media and entertainment, real estate, and corporate and M&A matters, with particular expertise in broadcasting regulation and content licensing as well as luxury branded real estate projects. She advises leading broadcasters and digital platforms on all aspects of corporate and regulatory compliance, including broadcasting licence applications and regulatory approvals, the negotiation and drafting of licensing and intellectual property agreements for audiovisual content, content clearance and review, advertising compliance, and day-to-day corporate legal representation.

Gizem has a strong real estate practice, representing domestic and international investors in complex real estate developments, high-value commercial projects and cross-border investments. She regularly advises leading real estate developers, hotel chains and luxury residence management companies on legal due diligence processes, the negotiation and structuring of brand, franchise and management agreements, and the development of branded hotel and residential projects, as well as on administrative applications, tenders, property sales and lease structures, and mixed-use project documentation and governance.

She also advises on corporate and M&A matters, with experience in transactional structuring, legal due diligence and the regulatory and commercial aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions.

Beyond her legal practice, Gizem co-leads the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Sustainability Initiative. Since its inception, she has played a key role in its implementation, working closely with NGOs and training programmes to enhance awareness, engagement and responsible business practices across the firm.
