It has been a great pleasure to take part in Istanbul Privacy Summit 2025 with our breakout session “Swords, Shields and Servers: The Battle for Digital Autonomy.”

Presented by our Partner Bulut Girgin, the session explored the shifting landscape of digital regulation from the early internet idealism to today’s complex frameworks such as the GDPR, AI Act, Data Act, DSA/DMA, and Türkiye’s KVKK and BTK regulations.

The discussion brought together thought leaders and sector players from a wide range of industries, reflecting on the growing tension between innovation, autonomy, and control in the digital age.
