Gizem Esen, senior member of our Real Estate practice, participated as a speaker in the panel titled ‘Türkiye’s Housing Policies within the Framework of the 12th Development Plan’ organised by GYODER | Real Estate Investors Association. Development Plan Framework: Türkiye’s Housing Policies,” which was published in the association’s popular quarterly report GÖSTERGE and shared with the public at the GYODER Summit held on 6 November.

During the panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Ali Hepşen from Istanbul University, our office shared its views on legal matters, Ahmet Cangöz, Head of Grant Thornton Tax Services, Dr. Levent Sümer, PMP, MRICS, Chairman of the Board of SMR Strategy, and INANC KABADAYI, Chairman of the Board of Ege Yapı, also participated as speakers to share their views on tax, business development, and finance issues.

During the panel, the legal, tax and investment strategy dimensions of current policies and expectations regarding housing were discussed, and it was emphasised that Turkey’s future strategy should be shaped by long-term goals and determined from a sustainable development perspective. In this context, for the first time, a physical panel was reflected in the GÖSTERGE publication in the form of questions and answers.
